Peter William Smith's Obituary
Funeral services for Peter William Smith, 68, of Anacoco, Louisiana will be held at 2p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at Hornbeck United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Steve Lora officiating and under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 10, 2012 from 3p.m. until 10p.m., and on Wednesday from 9a.m. until service time at the Hornbeck United Pentecostal Church.
Peter, the son of William Albert and Lily May Arnold Smith was born May 11, 1943, in England. He passed away Thursday, April 5, 2012, at his residence in Anacoco.
Mr. Smith drove Double Decker buses for London Transport for twenty years; he also drove Coach Buses and worked for American Golf in England for thirteen years. After retirement he moved to the United States and became a U.S. citizen in 2005. After arriving in Vernon Parish he worked for a period of time for Leesville Florist before retiring to spend time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Pat and grandchild, Lily Ryan.
He is survived by his wife, Melissa Smith of Anacoco; Children, Steven Smith, Phillip Smith & Robert Ryan, all of England, Brittany Clark of Leesville & Johnathan Ritter of Hicks: Two Sisters, Pam & Phyllis of England; Mother-in-law, Veda Knotts of Pitkin; Grandchildren, Hollie Smith, Ellie Smith, Abby Harding, Mitchell Ryan, Zoe Lisney & David Lisney and numerous other relatives and many friends.
