Perry Edmond Cavanaugh's Obituary
Funeral services for Perry Edmond Cavanaugh, 87, of Leesville, Louisiana will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2011, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville. Burial will follow in the Castor Cemetery in Leesville, LA, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 30, 2011, from 6 pm - 9 pm, and on Thursday, March 31st from noon until time of service at the funeral home.
Perry, the son of Hobby and May McManus Cavanaugh was born on August 27, 1923, in Leesville, Louisiana. He passed away on Monday, March 28, 2011, at Byrd Regional Hospital in Leesville, LA. Mr. Perry served in the United States Army Air Corps having served in World War II as part of the European Bombing Campaign and later supported the Berlin Airlift. He was a member of the 388th Bomb Group Association.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Mae Cavanaugh; daughter, Peggy Ann Cavanaugh; brother, Wallace McManus and sister, Iris Cavanaugh Moore.
He is survived by his children, Cheryl Cavanaugh Borders & husband Roy of Leesville, Edward Lee Cavanaugh & wife Sheila of Monument, CO, Ryan Cavanaugh of Springfield, MO & Loy Mae Arnold & husband Denny of Greeley, CO; grandchildren, Lori Borders, Perry Borders, Tyler Arnold, Travis Arnold, Ryan Cavanaugh, Jr., Christopher Cavanaugh, Shannon Almanzar, Kristian Cavanaugh & Jennifer Westray and great grandchildren, Austin, Michael, Caelan, A.J., Alexandra, Jacob, Hanna & Gregory.
