Peggy Joyce Cormier LeBlanc, 81, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Tuesday, November 20, 2012.
Peggy was born on May 2, 1931, to Euliss Cormier and Ruby Odom Cormier, in Lake Charles, LA. She was reared in Lake Charles and was a resident of DeRidder for the past 35 years. She was formerly employed as a Bookkeeper for JC Penney in Lake Charles. She was a homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Henry E. LeBlanc, Jr. of DeRidder, LA; 2 sons, Joseph Alan Smith of Kinder, LA and Gary Lane Smith of Frenchville, PA; 2 daughters, Janet Lynn Smith Phillips and fiancé’ Kevin and Jean Anne Smith LaFleur, all of Lake Charles, LA; 3 step children, Randall LeBlanc, Renee’ Williams and Ramona Ortego; 2 brothers, Robert Lee Cormier and wife Barbara of Lake Charles, LA and Jerry Alan Cormier and wife Wilda of Shreveport, LA; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 8 step grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, David Glenn Smith.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 23, 2012, 3:00 PM at Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder, LA. Minister officiating will be Rev. Glass with the burial at Whitaker Cemetery.
Her visitation will begin on Friday, November 23, 2012, 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
