Peggy Sue Booth Hammond's Obituary
Funeral services for Mrs. Peggy Sue Booth Hammond, 81, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 17, 2014 in the Labby Funeral Home chapel with Craig LaFarque officiating. Burial will be in the Castor Cemetery.
Funeral home visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday; and 8:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
Mrs. Hammond was called home to her heavenly father on Sunday, December 14, 2014 in our home after a long illness. She fought the fight, she finished the race, she kept the faith - 2 Timothy 4:7.
Mrs. Hammond was born in Jacksonville, TX later moving to Oklahoma where she finished school and later moved to Winnfield, LA and settled and raised her family in Leesville, LA. Mrs. Hammond was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Leesville, Eastern Star of Leesville and was Lady Shriner. She was strong in her faith and loved and served the Lord. She loved spending time with family, loved to cook, read and was very people oriented.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, C.H. “Brandy” Hammond, Sr, of Leesville one son, C.H. “Brandy, Hammond, Jr. and Debbie of Lake Arthur, LA, one daughter, Pamela Sue Hammond Wallace of Leesville, LA; Four grandchildren, Melissa Sue Hammond Graham or Pearland, TX, Michael Wallace, Matthew Wallace and Mitchell Wallace all of San Antonio, TX; and two great grandchildren, Parker Graham and Dylan Graham; Two brothers, Woodrow Booth of West Monroe, LA, Douglas Arthur Booth of Winnfield, LA; three sisters, Mona Gay Boone of Hollis, OK, Nelda Faye Johnson of Amarillo, TX and Barbara Ann Waters of Winnfield, LA.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Cyril Trusvan Booth and Lela Dosha Evans Booth and one brother, Tommy Booth.
