Pauline Simmons' Obituary
Pauline Simmons, 85, entered peacefully into rest on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at her home in Rosepine, Louisiana with her family by her side. Pauline was born on May 1, 1936 in Crosby, Texas to Fred Thamm and Hellen Kostka Thamm.
Visitation will be on Thursday, July 8, 2021, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at The Church of Rosepine located at 1436 Church Street, Rosepine, LA. Funeral services will be Friday, July 9, 2021, visitation will start at 10:00 AM and service will begin at 11:00 AM, at the church with Rev. Greg Crawford, officiating. Interment will follow at Lewis Cemetery in DeRidder, Louisiana.
Pauline graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown, Texas. She was the perfect homemaker who loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Pauline loved growing flowers, especially her beautiful Daylilies. She enjoyed cooking for her family every chance that she could.
Left to cherish her memory include her daughter Donnene McBride of Rosepine; sons Burn Simmons and wife Nancy of Rosepine; Terrin Simmons and wife Pam of Rosepine, LA; grandchildren Donna Lynn and Michael DeHoven, Jennifer and Adreon Henry, Jacob and Angela McBride, Brittany and Justin Hansen, Barrett and Bethany Simmons, Blake Simmons, Caleb Simmons; great grandchildren Michaella and Morgan DeHoven, Chloe Ethridge, Echo Henry, Skyler and Waylon McBride, Haven and Lincoln Hansen, Eden and Elijah Simmons, Slade Simmons and great-great grandchildren Dakota and Davionne Williams; and brother August Thamm.
Preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald, son Collin, grandson Jason McBride and her remaining Brothers and Sisters.
Those honored to serve as pallbearer are Barrett Simmons, Caleb Simmons, Blake Simmons, Jacob McBride, Skyler McBride, and Waylon McBride.
