Paula, the daughter of Malcolm and Doris Brumley, was born March 30, 1960 in Many, La. She passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025, in Houston, TX.
Paula had many occupations over the course of her life, ranging from manager of large department stores, to sales professional on the Eastern Seaboard, to dealing Black Jack to the many travelers from all over the world. She was truly a master of many professions. She recently retired from Fort Polk, La. No matter where Paula worked, she was beloved by her coworkers, always meeting them where they were and leading by example with her fervent work ethic.
Paula had a zest for life, living every moment to the fullest and being a beacon of light for everyone she encountered. Being with her family and spending time cheering on her grandchildren was something that brought her immense pride. She documented their every accomplishment and had the pictures to prove it. She loved to travel, ride motorcycles, fish, craft, and care for her plants and garden. She found joy in her fur babies, Rosco, Macey and Jemma.
Cooking for her family for holidays was something she did with intention and loved seeing the faces of her children and grandchildren as they opened her famous Christmas Day stockings.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Malcolm and Doris Brumley; and nieces, Michelle Brumley and Ashley Easley.
She is survived by her husband, Robin Peek of Pickering; sons, Tommy Peek (Lacey) of Leesville, and Joshua Peek (Kelly) of Pickering, five grandchildren, Joshua, Jaxson, Cash, Kensley, and Cooper. She’s also survived by her Brother, Ricky Brumley (Lalaine), and sister Suzie Autrey (Charles).
