Patsy Thompson Perkins' Obituary
Patsy Thompson Perkins, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2026, in Alexandria, Louisiana. Born on August 4, 1939, in Overton, Texas to William and Lola Moss Thompson, Patsy's life was a tapestry woven with love for her family and passion for nurturing those around her.
Patsy dedicated nearly two decades of her life working in the school cafeteria where she became known not just for serving meals but also for serving smiles and kindness to countless children. Her warm heart extended beyond the lunchroom; she found joy in crocheting beautiful pieces, and tended lovingly to her plants which flourished under her care. A true animal lover at heart, Patsy cherished the companionship of her puppies.
She is survived by two devoted daughters: Reitha Sue Boswell (Randy) of Leesville, Louisiana and Sherrica Ann Littlefield (Ralph) of Leesburg, Georgia. The legacy of love continues through six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren who will forever carry forward the values she instilled within them—compassionate hearts paired with an unwavering spirit.
Patsy's journey was marked by profound loss as well; she was preceded in death by her loving husband Dalton "Red" Perkins—a partnership filled with shared dreams—and their daughter Sharon Lou Perkins. She also mourned the passing of grandson Joseph "Joey" Dowden along with brothers Walter Thompson and Sammy Thompson.
Services honoring Patsy will be held on Monday, May 25th at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Bro. Randy Boswell. Visitation will begin one hour prior from 1:00 p.m., allowing friends and loved ones a moment to reflect upon their cherished memories before burial follows at Cooper Cemetery.
