Patrick Hickman's Obituary
On Wednesday July 3, 2024 Patrick (Choke) Hickman, a beloved husband, father, son, and brother passed away at the age of 55 he was born on May the 4th 1969 to Magalene Hickman Russell.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Eddie and Eula Hickman, his step-father M. George Russell, Jr.
He is survived by his wife Maria Rodriguez Hickman. His children Bryant Cheley, Patrick Hickman Jr, Jesse Marchbanks (Rylee), Destiny Whittle (John) and McKenna Mallard. His mother Magdalene Russell, his sisters Tisha Bolwaire and Vianca Holloway. His grandchildren Bryan, Marisa, Jozlnny, Jacxon, Jaydon, Harper and Bentley. His nieces Asante Bolwaire and Destiny Green; His nephews Terrence Holloway and Isaiah Holloway
Patrick attended Leesville High School gaining his high school diploma. He later went on to study heavy diesel mechanics. He was employed at the Vernon Paris police jurors as a mechanic where he worked until his passing.
Patrick was loved by so many he gave of himself to ensure others had what they needed. He would work sometimes from sun-up to sundown laboring to make sure someone’s car their yard or something was taken care of. He did his very best to help all those he came in contact with. Patrick liked fishing but he loved hunting every hunting season he would go out with the hopes of landing that 6- or 8-point buck. Patrick loved riding horses he spent most of his time outside; he wasn’t someone to lay around and do nothing. He loved life and enjoying those around him cracking jokes being playful. Patrick took pride in all that he did and wanted the best for everyone. He poured his life into caring for his family making sure his mother, his wife and children had everything that they needed. Patrick will be greatly missed!
