Patricia "Pat" Ellis Duncan's Obituary
Funeral services for Patricia “Pat” Ellis Duncan, 77, of Leesville, Louisiana will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 6th, at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville with Rev. Kurt Brochhausen and Rev. Paul Piro. Burial will follow in the Pine Island Cemetery in Pickering, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 5th, at 5 pm until 9 pm, then Monday, July 6th, from 8 am until service time in chapel.
Patricia, the daughter of James and Gwendolyn Byron Ellis, was born November 27, 1937 in Tulot, Arkansas. She passed away at the Woodland Care Center in Leesville Friday, July 3, 2015.
Mrs. Pat was a longtime resident of Vernon Parish; she was a member of Mt Carmel Baptist Church in the Knight community. She taught children's Sunday school and volunteered in the nursery at Cooper Baptist Church for many years. She loved nothing better than to work in her yard and be surrounded by family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, James, Jesse and Sam Ellis; granddaughter, Larisa Keen.
Pat is survived by her husband of 32 years, James R. Duncan of Leesville; sons, Rick Keen, Danny and wife Lorraine Keen all of Leesville and Jim and wife Charlotte Keen of DeRidder; daughters, April and husband Dean Bolgiano, Gwen and husband Bill Jones and Dawn Wattigny all of Leesville; sisters, Carol Johnson of Illinois and Dollie Bramlett of Keithville, LA; 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers memorials may be made for a Memory Bench to be placed at Hodges Garden / 257 Section Line Rd – Leesville, LA 71446
