Patricia "Ann" Cooley's Obituary
Patricia Ann Cooley, aged 73, passed away peacefully October 16, 2020. She was born May 20, 1947 in DeRidder, Louisiana to Fred and Ethel Cryer. She married Jimmy Cooley on July 21, 1967, and they together moved and raised their family in Longville, Louisiana.
She is survived by her husband James (Jimmy) Cooley. She leaves behind a son Keith Cooley (Jill Cooley), a son Rhea Cooley, a daughter Shonda Johnson, and dear cousin Marie Kowich. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren: Morgan Sams (Garrick Sams), Jake Johnson, Welles Cooley (Baylee Corbello), Grant Cooley, Griffin Cooley, Rhett Cooley, Shelby Cooley, and Rachel Cooley along with numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Fred and Ethel Cryer and brother Tommy Jack Cryer.
She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother; an avid gardener who enjoyed the outdoors; loved entertaining and was the world’s best cook; started her day with a daily devotional from the Bible; was an active prayer chain leader; a member of the benevolence food committee at First Baptist Church of Longville; and enjoyed spending time with family. She was loved by her community and will be missed by many, and she was an active member of First Baptist Church of Longville, where she had many friends that she felt were family.
Please join us celebrating her life at First Baptist Church of Longville. Visitation will be Sunday, October 18th from 5:00pm to 9:00pm and services will follow Monday, October 19th at 10:00 am with Rev. Corey Townsley and Rev. Philip McDuffie officiating. Interment will follow at Newlin Cemetery, Singer, LA, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Welles Cooley, Grant Cooley, Griffin Cooley, Jake Johnson, Garrick Sams and James Barrow.
