Patricia Brooks' Obituary
Patricia Brooks entered peacefully into rest on Monday, July 25, 2022, at the age of 85 years, 4 months, and 18 days in Leesville, LA with her loving family by her side. Patricia was born on Sunday, March 7, 1937, in Oberlin, LA to Harvey Gassiott and Marjorie Vogel.
Patricia was a hard worker in life. She went to Votech and received her LPN certificate and went to work for Kurthwood Manor. She was the owner and operator of Pats Collectables where she loved to buy and sale antique glassware. She had a big heart for animals, especially dogs, and was a big supporter of the Humane Society in Rosepine. She will be greatly missed by those who loved and knew her.
Left to cherish her memory are her cousins, Sandra Leach of Leesville, and Rev. Charles Hanchey of Laurel, MS, and a host of cousins and extended family.
Preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Jerry Brooks; father, Harvey Gassiott; Mother, Marjorie Vogel Ferrill; and brother, Jimmy Gassiott.
A memorial service will be held at a later date with burial at Good Hope Baptist Cemetery in Anacoco, LA. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
