I am so sad to lose Paralee as a friend and colleague. She was a great supporter of creative writing and of students who had served in the military, in particular. She put a lot of her time into organizing student writing contests and special events that would broaden the educational experiences of students. RIP, Paralee.
Dr. Norman was a wonderful educator. She taught all of my English classes in college (NSU). I remember receiving an A in the last class I took with her and I felt as though I had won the lottery. I received two Bs and one A in my time with Dr. Norman. She made all of us work for every point. I even went back to my high school English teacher, Mrs. Pelt Simpson High School, and let her know the nice things Dr. Norman had said about my abilities. I owe Dr. Norman so much, and I am so proud to have called her my English Professor. I still have every paper I ever wrote in her classes. I will always cherish them and her insights.
Dr.Norman will be greatly missed.She was a hard professor but she cared about her students and pushed every one of us to do our very best.
