Graveside services for Olive Porter Midkiff, 89, of Leesville will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 30, 2009 at the Mt. Bethel Cemetery in Leesville, with military honors under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville. Visitations were held on Saturday, August 29th at Labby Memorial Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
Mrs. Midkiff passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2009 at Byrd Regional Hospital in Leesville, Louisiana. She was born on December 16, 1919 in Bessemer, Alabama.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law Gayle Midkiff of Leesville, Louisiana; sister Helen Lowe of Jacksonville, Florida; grandchildren Mike Midkiff of Leesville, Louisiana, Amber Midkiff Champagne of Bossier City, Louisiana, & Ashley Midkiff of Leesville, Louisiana; great grandchildren Jade Reber, Christian Champagne, & Shaylynn Busby and a host of nieces & nephews.
