Ocie Lee Simpson's Obituary
Funeral services for Ocie Lee Simpson, 68, of Leesville will be held Saturday, January 20, 2018, at 11 am at the New Willow Baptist Church, with the Rev. Harrison Fields officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation is from 9 am until time of service at the church.
Ocie Lee Simpson affectionately known as (Chug, Cool and Big O) was born on November 15, 1949 to the union of Isom and Virgie Lee Simpson, to that union he was the 2nd of three children. He departed to his heavenly home on Wednesday, January 10, 2018.
Ocie received Christ as his savior and was baptized on the 30th day of October, 1994 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He later united with the New Willow Baptist Church where he attended Sunday school and morning worship service where he enjoyed praising and worshiping God until his health started to decline.
Ocie was a lifelong resident of Vernon Parish. He was employed at McRae Ford and Leesville Motors where he met so many Vernon Parish residents on a daily basis and was loved and admired by everyone that he came in contact with. He thoroughly enjoyed going to the Helping Hands Ministries and the Feeding Ministries at the New Birth Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother. He leaves to cherish his fond memories one sister, Abragail (Lawrence) Martin of New Llano, LA. ten (10) nieces Tarsha, Lisa, Lillian, Mieshya, LaToya, LaShonda LaTonya, LaShanya, Rena, Melissa and four (4) nephews, Demetric, LaMarcus, Tony, Curtis and a host of great nieces, nephews, family and friends,
