Funeral services for Nyla Rose Brister, 66, of Leesville, LA will be held Monday, January 4, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the First United Pentecostal Church in Leesville, LA with Rev. M.C. Green, Rev. John Burns, & Christopher Oswald officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, January 3rd from 10:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville. Burial will follow in the Old Leesville Cemetery in Leesville, LA. Services are under the direction of the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
Mrs. Brister the daughter of Homer and Maebelle Buxton Perkins was born on, June 20, 1943 in DeRidder, LA. She passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2009 in Natchitoches, LA.
She is survived by her three daughters, Donna Rose Vanderhoff of Leesville, LA; Debbie Renae Oswald of Natchitoches, LA & Deiadra “Dee” Ann Behrman of Colorado Springs, CO; mother Mae Belle Perkins of Belton, TX; two brothers Michael Perkins of Belton,TX & Freddie Perkins of Temple, TX; three sisters Peggy Jones of Tacoma, WA, Betty Matthews of Belton,TX & Anita Barnes of Heidenheimer, TX; grandchildren Amanda Sherrill, Andrew Camps, Alexander Camps, Christopher Oswald, Brittany Oswald, Megan Behrman, & Collin Behrman and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Ray Brister and her father Homer Perkins.
