Elsie, I am so sorry for the loss of my 'old friend', Norm. I'll always appreciate his (and your) service to our country. May God be with you and yours! I love you.........
Kitty and I are very glad we had the opportunity to meet a man of Norm's character. He continued to serve his country after retirement and was a strong member of MOAA. You are in our prayers.
Norm was a great soldier, a great person a great husband, a great family man, and a great friend. There are not many people who can be thought of in so many fine ways. We met over 50 years ago when we were captains and instructors at the Armor School at Fort Knox, KY. I was impressed with his character and ability from the very onset. It was years later in our terminal assignments at the Armor Center Headquarters when we met again. I was already staioned there when I found out Norm was also coming to Fort Knox. Because I knew him to be so special, I made sure he would be assigned where we could work together. It proved to be one of the best things I had ever done. Norm was the epitome of an officer and a gentleman. He had the bearing and demeanor that marked him as an outstanding leader. He was always on an even keel and someone you wanted with you when the going got tough. Although regretably we never saw one another after we retired, we kept in contact over more than 30 ensuing years.I was always heartened to hear from him because of his upbeat outlook on life. He and Elsie were a perfect couple and a credit to the military community wherever Norm was assigned. The world has lost a really decent human being and we are all better for having known him.
We have fond memories of our association with Norm and Elsie through the Louisiana Council of Chapters {MOAA}. Our thoughts and prayers are with Elsie and family.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time.
I am deeply saddened at your loss and send my condolences to you and your family. I would also like to share with you a comforting scripture from the Bible at John 5:28,29 “Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice [the voice of Jesus] and come out.” \r\nGod has all of our loved ones in His memory and at a future time will resurrect them back to life. Again, your family has my deepest sympathy.
Our deepest sympathies go out to the Keith family.
Colonel Keith was not only a valued customer, (we serviced his lawn equipment), but an outstanding person. EVERY TIME we saw Colonel Keith, he had a genuine smile, and gave the BEST, HONEST, HEART FELT HUGS!! He always told us that he appreciated us and LOVED us, and I can HONESTLY say that my husband and I feel the very same way. \r\n\r\nColonel Keith is missed dearly, and will NEVER be forgotten. Our condolences to Ms. Keith and family. Our prayers are with you all. Thank you and as always Colonel, \"We love you too...\" \r\n\r\nSincerely, \r\nAmber and Robert Adkins\r\nLeesville, LA
