Nicoletta Francesca "Nikki" Menard's Obituary
Nicoletta Francesca "Nikki" Menard, born on July 24, 1981, in Fort Polk, Louisiana, passed away March 29, 2026, in Abbeville. She was a beloved mother to her three children: Julian Noelle Menard of Abbeville; Aidyn Scott Menard of Lafayette; and Bayli Marie Miller of Abbeville. Nikki's love for her family knew no bounds and defined every aspect of her life.
She is also survived by her mother Elizabeth Ann Farris of Abbeville; father Thomas H. Menard Jr. and stepmother Yung "Oma" from Browns Mills, New Jersey; brother Thomas H. Menard III also from Browns Mills; sister Karisha Yvette Turnley and husband Toney from Abbeville; stepsisters Angelique Ray and husband Gerald from The Colony, Texas; Christie Stevens from Vivian, Louisiana; as well as a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends who cherished her deeply.
Nikki was preceded in death by her stepdad Bill Swanner “Poppa”.
A stay-at-home mom during the early years of raising her children—an endeavor that brought immense joy to Nikki—she later worked as a cashier but always prioritized caring for those around her above all else. Her selflessness shone brightly through every act she performed for others. With an infectious laugh that could light up any room and memories filled with warmth and kindness shared among friends and family alike, Nikki had an extraordinary ability to uplift everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Her passions included reading the Bible and she would often read it aloud to little ones gathered around her—a testament to both faithfulness and nurturing spirit. She loved gardening, music, writing poetry, and time spent cooking alongside her loved ones.
Nikki possessed what many would call a servant’s heart—a genuine desire not only to help but also bring smiles into lives touched by hardship or sorrow—even when faced with challenges herself she wore that radiant smile like armor against disappointment.
Saddened by the loss of a precious soul her family will always remember the memories they shared and her sweet spirit.
As we mourn our loss together today—the absence felt so profoundly—we find comfort knowing she rests peacefully now within the loving embrace of Jesus Christ while awaiting us all one day again reunited beneath Heaven’s skies adorned with sweet laughter echoing eternally through time itself.
Funeral services will be held on Friday April 10th at Anacoco United Pentecostal Church beginning at two o'clock PM followed by burial at Farris Cemetery.
Visitation will take place Thursday evening April ninth between five o’clock PM until nine o’clock PM at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
