Nicholas Thomas Karamales' Obituary
Funeral services for Nicholas Thomas Karamales, 89, of Leesville will be held Thursday, April 14, 2016, at 3 pm at the Silver Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Terry McDonald officiating. Burial will follow in the Silver Creek Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 14th from 1 pm until time of service at the church.
Nicholas, the son of Thomas Anthony and Ethel Pauline Walker Karamales, was born on July 8, 1926, in Bradenton, Florida. He passed away on Monday, April 11, 2016, in Leesville, LA.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 59 years, Melba Karamales; sister, Doris Craparo and brothers, Evangelos (Van) and Lloyd.
Mr. Karamales retired from KCS. He served in the Army with combat action in the Luzon Philippines and the Occupation of Japan.
He is survived by his sons, Norman (Becky) Karamales of Pineville, LA and Charles (Allison) Karamales of Leesville, LA; sister, Christina Brightwell of Spring, Hill, FL and grandchildren, Jason, Nicole, Christopher ( Brianna) and Colin.
