Words about my mom by Rhonda Hampton
Have you ever just gazed at someone and exclaimed, “Wow, you are truly a remarkable individual?” I had the privilege of encountering such a person today. My mom is that extraordinary person. Her physical beauty is undeniable, but life has etched some battle scars on her. Despite struggling daily with various challenges, she remains a beacon of positivity and joy. Her inner beauty is breathtaking sight to behold; she embodies the essence of a Proverbs 31 woman. Today, she faced a difficult day, yet in the midst of uncertainty and pain, her concern was for others. She was praying fervently for family members navigating dark times and her church family. Her selflessness leaves me in awe. The goodness that radiates from her seems to flow from and unending fountain of faith in God, and it is the same God who blessed me with this incredible woman as my mom. Wow! She is the epitome of encouragement, and her kind affirmations uplift me, strengthening my faith. She exemplifies the kind of goodness our Holy Father desires us all to embody. Her deep care of others and prayers on their behalf, even in the midst of her own pain, inspire me. I witnessed this remarkable quality in her again today. I wish people could look beyond physical beauty and behold the inner beauty that shines within others. You would need sunglasses, friend, for her spirit radiates God’s goodness with incredible brilliance.
