Myrtle A Marze's Obituary
Funeral services for Myrtle A. Marze ,92, of Anacoco, will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 4, 2019 in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville with Bro. Rickey Robertson, Bro. Morris Goins and Bro. Jason Parks officiating. Burial will follow in the Cold Springs Cemetery in Anacoco, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 3, 2019 from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
Myrtle was born September 7, 1926 in Anacoco, La. She passed away on April 2, 2019 at St. Francis Cabrini in Alexandria, La.
Myrtle graduated from Anacoco High School in 1945 and was so very proud to be on the basketball team. She worked at Post Exchange at Fort Polk La. and was a member of Cold Springs Baptist Church. She was one of a kind no one like her. She never met a stranger and was strong in the phone ministry. She would fight a circle saw for her family. You could always rely on Maw Maw.
She was preceded by her parents Barney and Daisy Lawrence Goins. Her loving husband Lester Marze who was the love of her life. They married on June 9, 1945 they were longtime residents of Anacoco, LA.
Survivors include son Charles T. Marze (Lainee) of Anacoco; Betty A. Smith of Anacoco; Charles A Marze (Nikki) of Leesville, LA. grandchildren; Rhonda Stevenson (Jamie) of Leavenworth, KS., Charles T. “Charlie” Marze (Wendy) of West Monroe, LA. Ron Blackwell (Heather) of Hicks, LA., Charlotte Hooks (Bobby) of Leesville, LA. great grandchildren; Jacob Stevenson, Carlie Marze, Cammy Hooks, Brooklyn Blackwell, Cally Hooks, Riley Marze, Jared Stevenson, Karsyn Blackwell, Olivia Marze, Todd Marze and Cade Marze.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are, Chuck Marze, Charlie Marze, Ron Blackwell, Bobby Hooks, Jacob Stevenson, Lane Belsha, honorary pallbearers, Floyd Hooks, Sam Craft, J. D Haymon, Delmon Haymon, Jimmy Haymon, Tommy Pruitt, Doug Goins, Paul Goins, Kenny Goins, Calvin Martin, Johnny Martin and Willard McInnis.
