Monroe E. Spriggs' Obituary
Funeral services for Monroe E. Spriggs, 65, of Leesville will be Saturday August 23 at 1:00 PM at the First St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. James Gaither Jr. Friends may call on Saturday August 23, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the Church.
Mr. Spriggs passed away Tuesday, August 19th at Rapides General Hospital in Alexandria, LA.
He was born in Washington, D.C.; he was an active member at First St. Paul Missionary Baptist until the Lord called him home. Mr. Spriggs was employed by Noble Drilling Company for 29 years. He served in the U.S. Army for 14 years and was a veteran of the Korean War and Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years Shirley Gilbert Spriggs parents Monroe & Catherine Walker Spriggs of Washington, D.C.; two sons Clifton Spriggs and Ivan Spriggs.
He leaves to celebrate his life two daughters Natasha Spriggs (Jerome) of Leesville, and Lynn Spriggs of Washington D.C.; two sons Robert Jenkins (Dionne), Lithonia, Ga., and Vincent Hall (Veronica) Ruston, La; five grandchildren; Robert Jr. (RJ), Kyderion, Quantaviuns, L’Travina and E’zavion;
