Milton Lee Mitchell's Obituary
Graveside services for Milton Lee Mitchell, 68, of Hornbeck will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. in the Prewitt’s Chapel Cemetery in Hornbeck under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
A visitation for friends and family will be held Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until service time in the Prewitt’s Chapel Cemetery. If you would like you are encouraged to bring a lawn chair if you would like to stay for the service.
Mr. Mitchell was born on July 7, 1952 at Fort Polk, and passed away on Monday, November 9, 2020 in Many, La.
Milton was a man who loved people. He very much enjoyed spending time at his sawmill visiting with all of his friends. He was always one to put everyone else first and not worry about himself. He loved his family and spending time with them. One of his favorite things to do was go camping. He was a lifelong member of Prewitt’s Chapel where he served as a deacon and as a song leader for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Henry Haywood Mitchell, Jr. and Loread Rhosto Mitchell, and his sister, June Young.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 41 years, Nancy Mitchell of Hornbeck; daughter and son in law: Mary Lou & Reginald Haymon of Hornbeck; his son and daughter in law: Bogie & Cassie Mitchell of Spring, Texas; four grandchildren: Cannon Haymon, Eli Haymon, Maverick Mitchell, and Zeppelin Mitchell.
