Milly Boycott's Obituary
Funeral services for Milly Boycott, 76, of DeRidder, LA, will be held at 10 AM Thursday, December 3, 2015, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in DeRidder, LA, with Rev. Dr. Joe Poole officiating. Burial will follow in Beauregard Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, from 5 PM until 8M and on Thursday, December 3rd, from 9 AM until time of service at the funeral home.
Milly, the daughter of Bernard Francis and Fern Edna Williams Barbour was born on December 6, 1938, in Highland Park, MI. She passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2015, in DeRidder, LA.
Mrs. Boycott lived most of her life in DeRidder. When her daughter was diagnosed with cancer she took up crocheting again and made many afghans which were given to family and friends who were ill. She felt they needed to know they were loved and was in her prayers. She was a member of First Baptist Church of DeRidder, where she was involved in the Joy Singers, Choir, Living Christmas Tree, Prison & Nursing Home ministries.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frankie Boycott, and sister, Fritzi Burns.
She is survived by her son, Brian Boycott (Mabel) of Caledonia, MI; daughter, Karen Boycott of DeRidder; brother, Nardy Barbour of Chickasha, OK; sisters, Jeanne Laszko of Fallbrook, CA, Bernadine LoPrete of Royal Oak, MI and Dorothy Cowsert of Waterford, MI, and grandchildren, Anna & Andrea Boycott.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the “Faith Quest” at First Baptist Church of DeRidder.
