Millard Richard Monk's Obituary
Millard Richard Monk age 83, of Leesville passed away on May 28, 2026. He was born on May 25, 1943.
Millard was an Army Veteran. He was a pastor for many years and was a man of strong faith. Mr. Monk was Civil Service at Fort Polk.
Millard found joy in deer hunting and growing a garden.
He was preceded in death by his sweet loving wife of 41 years, Marion Monk; father & mother, Elijah and Verna Monk; brother, Lenord Monk and great granddaughter, Nora Jae Smith.
He is survived by his sons, Henry (Tana) Thibodeaux and Todd (Jill) Thibodeaux; one grandson, Allen (Tisha) Thibodeaux; one granddaughter, Jenna (Kole) Smith; four great granddaughters, Julie, Lily, Ellie and Josie Jae; one great grandson, Jude Smith; two nephews and one niece.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at Laurel Hill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Laurel Hill Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville. A visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday at the church.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Gary Bush, Derek Weatherford, Bill Shira, Paul Monk, Rickie Monk and Kole Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Doug Danzy and Don Salassi.
