May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
To the Family and Mike's dear friends, I'm so sorry for your loss. I was so shocked to hear of his passing. I worked with Mike on a number of occasions on wildfires over the years and he always impressed me as a nice person. I pray that God bless you with peace and comfort now and in the difficult times to come. May God make your good memories of Mike lasting and clear. Greg Cohrs, Winn Ranger District of Kisatchie National Forest
I was shocked to hear about Mike's passing. We did some tremendous prescribed burning, on the Vernon...back in the day. He was a fun guy to work with ..Sheryl and I will keep the family in our prayers...
Nelda and family just want you to know that my prayers are with you all and we know that we serve a Might God that has the answer to every thing just trust him.
Nelda and family, please know that my prayers and thoughts are with you during what has to be the most painful experience a parent can go through. Keep trusting in the same God that has always been there for you...now more than ever.
When Steve told me the news, I was completely devastated. Mike and I worked together for several years. When we ran into each other on the Vernon, we would share a laugh, or go and play a game of pool after work, where pretty much he won every game. I also remember the time we burned everything we intended on not burning during a prescribed burn at the Kincaid Lake Recreation Area, and I had to fix everything. We also had a good laugh about that one. My sympathies to the Owers family. Mike, you will never be forgotten. Watch over us and keep us safe.
I am so sorry for your loss. Mrs. Nelda Owers and Gwynn, you are especially in my prayers.
Mike was a co-worker and more importantly a great friend. My condolences go out to his family, Marilyn and other close friends.
I am so sorry for the loss of Mike. The family are in my deepest prayers for comfort and strength. Mike was a good guy and will be greatly missed. I have always had a special place in my heart for him.
To the Owers faimly I truly love y'all and always well. I am truly going to very much miss one of the best friends I have every had. Mike was like a big brother to me and just like faimly. I loved him and always well. It's going to be very hard to come home everyday and not go see him or him not coming to my house or talking to him on the phone. RIP in my dear friend and I know I will see you again in heaven.
