Mike Hodnett's Obituary
Funeral services for Mike Hodnett, 64, of Anacoco, Louisiana will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 2, 2014, at the Anacoco First Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Russell and Rev. Terry Ward officiating. Burial will follow in the Cold Springs Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 1st from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the funeral home then Thursday, Oct 2nd, from 9 AM until service time at the church.
Mike, the son of Claude and Catherine Hodnett, was born July 10, 1950, in Leesville. He passed away Monday, September 29th, in Alexandria, LA.
Mike worked as a Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Deputy for the past 14 years, before that he was a contract painter for many years. Mike coached softball for many years and loved being involved in young people’s lives. Mike loved to hunt and fish, especially rabbit hunting.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Don Hodnett and his brother-in-law, Larry Morrison.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Patsy Morrison Hodnett; “Their Children” Wendy Morrison, Sandy Morrison, Jason Morrison, Rochelle Morrison, Elijah Morrison, Wynter Morrison, Jensen Morrison, Rhonda Harrison, Danny Harrison, Kevin Jeane, Lyssa Jeane, Emiry Jeane, Jacob Harrison, Brandi Harrison, Remi Harrison, Raylon Harrison, Alex Harrison, Donna Ward, Terry Ward, Megan O’Banion, Joel O’Banion, Jack O’Banion, Matthew Ward, Shonda Hartman, Jim Hartman, Sara Hartman, Luke Hartman, Wanda Toney, Gaylon Toney, Kacie Toney, Jordan Toney, Brandon Toney and Christina Troy; Brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-law; Medford & Betty Jeane and Don & Helen Morrison.
