Megan Elizabeth Davis' Obituary
Megan Elizabeth Davis, 37, entered peacefully into rest on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at home in DeRidder, Louisiana with her loving family by her side. Megan was born on June 29, 1984 in Alexandria, Louisiana to Donna L. Caudell Davis and Donald P. Davis.
Visitation will begin Thursday, July 15, 2021, from 10:00 AM until the time of the memorial service, which will, begin at 11:00 AM at Grace Church, 1021 West First Street in DeRidder, LA with Rev. George Lee Glass officiating under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder.
Megan graduated with a Master’s degree in Accounting. She held a position as a social worker with the Department of Child and Family Services for over 8 years.
Megan was passionate, determined, and hard-working. She had a dry sense of humor and kept it going to the end. She was sensitive and protective. She was hard to figure out and incredibly simple at the same time. She was born with a fighting spirit and never let it go.
She would travel the distance to hold a newborn baby. She loved board games, Disney, Christmas, girl’s trips, cooking, and crafts.
More than anything, Megan treasured being a “boymom” and all that entailed…campfires, competitions, and sports. She prided herself in providing for them and made sure they never went without. She enjoyed making their birthdays and holidays memorable. She will be missed.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons Wylon P. Leslie of DeRidder, LA, Gabryel L. Leslie of DeRidder, LA, RayRay Dearmon of DeRidder, LA; mother Donna Davis of DeRidder, LA; father Don Davis; sisters Michelle Harris of Massachusetts, Amy Trabue and Travis of Texas, Jennie Davis and Jaceson Cole of Colorado; nieces and nephews Brandon, Gracelyn, Joshua, William, Seth, Elizabeth; and extended family and friends.
Preceded in death by her brother David Davis; grandfather Louis Caudell; and grandmother Audrey Brimhall Caudell.
