Maxs Cole's Obituary
Funeral services for Maxs Cole, 69, of Lake Charles, LA, will be Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at 2 P.M. in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in DeRidder, LA, with Rev. Frank Ott officiating. Interment will follow in Whitaker Cemetery near DeRidder under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 7, 2016 from 11 A.M. until time of the service in the funeral home.
Mr. Cole was born August 17, 1947, to Maurice and Trilla Nations Cole. He entered into eternal rest on Saturday, September 3, 2016, in a Lake Charles hospital after a sudden illness.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Fox Cole of Lake Charles, LA; three sons, Lynn Samford (Nelda) and Shane Samford (Kate), both of Dry Creek, LA, and Eric Samford (Caroline) of Wortham, TX; two step-children, Liz Tadlock (Glenn) of Belle Chasse, LA, and Billy Tadlock of Lake Charles; two grandchildren, Andrew Tadlock and Charlcy Samford with seven other grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Frye of Sulphur, LA, and Nellie Smith (Vernon) of Hemphill, TX; and special nieces Debra Harmon and Lexi Wesson, both of Stephenville, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Larry Rea Cole.
