Maxine Dunston's Obituary
Funeral services for Maxine Evans Dunston, 52, of Dallas, Texas will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Leesville with Pastor, Joseph Garner officiating. Burial will follow in the Scott Cemetery, in Toledo Bend, Texas, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 8th from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church.
Sister Maxine Evans Dunston was born July 11, 1961, to Samuel Jones, (Lee Evans, step father) and Dolly Joyiner Evans, who preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Lee Roy Evans, and Lee Ester Evans
Sister Maxine Evans Dunston was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and a graduate of Leesville High School. She would later settle in Dallas, Texas. There she united with the Skilman Church of Christ under the leadership of Pastor Joel Sanchez. She loved to sing, the Christmas Season, sports and loved people and putting a smile on their faces.
Sister Maxine Dunston leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Michael Evans of Dallas, Texas, Ralph Dunston, Jr., (wife, Markeshia) of Austin, Texas; one granddaughter, Sayler Renee Evans; two sisters and one brother, Grover L Joyiner, Della Evans both of Leesville and Katherine Staten (husband, Walter) of DeRidder, LA; a very special friend, Mr. Otis Adams; five aunts, Ruby Alexander, Lillie Green, Frances Green all of Leesville, LA, Ollie McKnight of St. Augustine, FL and Sis. Thelma Odom also of Leesville. She also has five nieces and nephews and a host of other cousins and friends and a best friend for life, Tonya Sellers.
