Mattie L. Collins' Obituary
Funeral services for Mattie L. Collins Jackson, 73, of Leesville, Louisiana will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 17, 2011, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Leesville with Rev. (Dr.) Carl R. Armstead officiating. Burial will follow in the Leesville Memorial Cemetery in Leesville, LA under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 17th from 11 a.m. until time of service at the church.
Mattie was born December 31, 1937, in Magnolia, Arkansas, to the late John and Georgia Beal. She departed this life December 9, 2011, at Byrd Regional Hospital in Leesville. She joined St. Mark Baptist Church in Magnolia, Arkansas at an early age.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, John Edward Beal & Hugh Beal and two granddaughters, Venesshia Johnson and Ulonda Cooper.
She is survived by her husband, Leroy Jackson of Leesville, LA; four daughters, Mary Cooper of Leesville, LA, Victoria Mingo of El Dorado, AR, Vickie (Tony) Lopez of DeRidder, LA, and LaGeasha Samuels of Little Rock, AR; one god-daughter, Sharon (Jimmy) Bates of Magnolia, AR; three sons, Henry Johnson, Jr. of Tempa Hill MD, Andra (Juana) Rayford of Dallas, TX and Keenen Collins of Little Rock, AR; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and a host of niece, nephews, relatives and friends.
