Matthew Jonah Nielsen's Obituary
Matthew Jonah Nielsen, a beloved husband, father, son, and brother passed away on August 29th, 2024 in Leesville, Louisiana. He was born on February 3rd, 1989, in Apple Valley, California to his loving mother Luanne Nielsen Elliott.
Matthew's memory will forever be cherished by his devoted wife Brinn Nielsen of Leesville; his precious children Emmett and Adlynn Nielsen of Leesville; as well as his dear mother Luanne Nielsen Elliott. He is also survived by his brothers Aron Haselbauer and Kyl Haselbauer.
A dedicated soldier in the United States Army, Matthew served with honor and courage. His commitment to protecting his country will always be remembered with gratitude. In addition to his military service, Matthew had a passion for hunting and fishing that brought him great joy throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by Neil Elliott—his stepfather who played an important role in shaping the man he became.
The loss of Matthew has left an indelible void in the hearts of all who knew him. His infectious laughter and unwavering love for those around him touched countless lives. As we mourn this profound loss together, let us find solace in the memories we shared with Matthew—the moments that made our lives brighter because he was a part of them.
A memorial service honoring Matthew's life will take place on Thursday, September 5th at 11:00 A.M., at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M until time of service at the funeral home—a time for family and friends to come together to celebrate the beautiful life he lived.
