Whitney, I was so sad to learn of the accident. I can only imagine the pain you are feeling. I worked with Matt at the ENGlobal Houston office and then while we were both out at the Bigler site. Matt spoke of you often. He was very proud of you and loved you very much. He was an exceptional young man and I was proud to know him. Poor thing, I fussed over him just like I do my sons and daughter. And Avery, I can only imagine how proud he was the day you were born! I know he would have loved spoiling you! You are all in our prayers and I know Matt will watch over you both, while he \"engineers\" and plays ball in heaven.

I am so very sorry for your loss, Whitney. \r\n\r\nI worked with Matt at ENGlobal and for him after he went to Bigler. He was truly a gifted engineer and a joy to work with. I will keep him, you and your family in my prayers during this most difficult of times and hope that sometime in the near future your pain and sorry will give way to joyful memories.\r\n\r\nOne memory of Matt I will always keep is the advise on pitching he gave me to give to my son. It was a pleasant distraction from work when Matt would tell me what drills he used to do at UAH and while growing up, and I would go home and work many of those drills with my son. All of our thoughts and prayers from Troy, AL are with the families in this most difficult time. I will always remember Matt as a true leader, tremendous competitor and a young man of character who I could always count on despite any circumstance. He was well respected by his teammates,coaches and University professors. The level of respect only few can earn. I will miss you Mattie- but I will never forget you. I knew Matt when he worked at the paper mill in Evadale, TX. I am heart broken from the news of his accident. He was a real sweetheart and was missed when he left us to move to the Houston area. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you all. He was an awesome young man.
Matt was one of the best guys I ever came in contact with. I was a senior when he was a freshman on the UAH baseball team. Losing a teammate is like losing a family member to me. Our prayers go out to your family. Matt will be sorely missed. I think I speak for the whole Charger family when I say ,\"I really loved Matt as a teammate, person, and a friend.\" I hope my young son turns out just like him. God Bless you all.
