Mary Blanche Perkins Wilson's Obituary
Mary Blanche Perkins Wilson, 94, of Leesville, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2026surrounded by family. Mary Blanche was born October 24, 1931 in Burr Ferry, Louisiana to Johnnie Marcus Perkins and Beulah Smith Perkins.
Mary Blanche married the love of her life, Carl Markes Wilson Jr. on April 23, 1947, and was his loving and devoted wife for 65 years. Mary Blanche was a loving mother to her six children, Carline, Freida, Judy, Carlton, Edith and Odell.
Mary Blanche was a devoted housewife and then later became bookkeeper for her husband Carl's logging business. She enjoyed growing flowers, crocheting, reading and music.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie Marcus Perkins and Beulah Smith Perkins; husband, Carl Markes Wilson Jr.; son, Mark Wilson; son-in-law, Clyde Dale Stephens; grandson, Quentin Wayne Moore; grandson-in-law, Chris Booty; great-granddaughter, Mirrell Moore; and sisters, Oreila Perkins Craft and Edith Perkins Faulkner.
Those left to cherish her memory are daughter, Carline Pelt (Carlous); daughter, Freida Stephens; daughter, Judy Wilson; son, Carlton Wilson (Phylis); daughter, Edith Moore (Darrell); and son, Odell Wilson (Piper). Eight grandchildren; grandson Ricky Stephens (Becky); granddaughter, Amy Pelt Alost; granddaughter, Jeanne Stephens Booty; granddaughter, Sandra Pelt Fox(John); grandson, Alan Pelt; grandson, D.J. Moore(Micah); granddaughter, Katelyn Moore Newsom(Bryce); grandson, Jeremiah Wilson; and four step grandchildren; Tammy, Mark, Belinda and Christopher Welch. Ten great-grandchildren; great-grandson, Steven Petty (Kristen); great -granddaughter, Kayli Stephens Rivers(Dustin); great -grandson Tyler Stephens; great-granddaughter, Alisha Booty Adams(Bryce); great-grandson, Aidan Alost; great-grandson, Jonathan Fox; great-grandson Nolan Alost; great-grandson, Caleb Alost; great-grandson, Carl Moore; great-grandson, Zion Moore. Seven great-great-grandchildren and one more due in November.
Funeral services will be held at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 30, 2026 with Bro. Terry Ward officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Thursday, April 30 at 9:30 a.m. until services. The burial will be at Cooper Cemetery.
