Mary F. Morgan's Obituary
Mary F. McCorquodale Morgan, 82, entered peacefully into rest on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at her home in Longville, Louisiana. Mary was born to Francis McCorquodale and Mary Stagg McCorquodale on December 16, 1938, in Longville, Louisiana.
Visitation will begin Friday, March 19, 2021, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at Magnolia Baptist Church in Ragley, LA. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 20, 2021, Magnolia Baptist Church in Ragley, LA with Rev. Stuart Graves and Rev. Corey Townsley officiating. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Ragley, Louisiana.
Mary was an artist that had a love of God, family and nature. Mary loved her church and worked in the nursery for many years. She belonged to the Monday Art Club in Lake Charles, LA. She was known for her hospitality and gracious spirit.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 63 years Gene Morgan; four children Gene Morgan Jr. and wife Katherine of Flagstaff, AZ, Kalan Sylvest and husband David of Sulphur, LA, Jan McCoy and husband John of Leander, TX, John Morgan of Moss Bluff, LA; three brothers Alfred “Mac” McCorquodale of Roseburg, OR, Steve McCorquodale and wife Helga of Longville, LA, Donny McCorquodale and wife Ramona of Longville, LA; one sister Lynndel Middleton and husband Rod of Longville, LA; six grandchildren Lynndel Custodio and husband Daniel, Allen Morgan and wife Jasmine, Morgan McCoy, Rachel Sylvest, Claudia Thomas and husband Guthrie, Parker McCoy; and one great grandchild Grey Dean Custodio.
Preceded in death by her parents Francis McCorquodale and Mary Stagg McCorquodale.
Those honored to serve as pallbearer are Parker McCoy, Guthrie Thomas, John McCoy, Ryan McCorquodale, Allen Morgan, and Chad Beckemeyer.
