Martha Welch's Obituary
Martha Welch, 67, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away on July 31, 2024, in Leesville, Louisiana. She was born on March 15, 1957, in Houma, Louisiana, to Roy Edward Culpepper and Peggy Louise Thompson.
Martha's life was defined by her kindness and love for others. Her Christian faith guided her every action as she lived a life of generosity and care for those around her. Martha's warm heart touched the lives of all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Giles Welch, of Leesville, Louisiana; son, Billy Welch, of Leesville, Louisiana; caring brother, Roy Culpepper, of Woodville, Texas; sisters, Kathy Koone (Robert) of Arkansas and Angela Berry (Charles) of Spurger, Texas; cherished grandchild, Baby Jerry; and nieces and nephews. Martha's memory will live on through the hearts of these dear family members.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Edward Culpepper and Peggy Louise Thompson.
The loss of Martha has left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege to know her. Her passing leaves behind a void that cannot be filled but also serves as a reminder to cherish the memories she left us with.
A visitation will be held at Oak Grove Baptist Church in LaCamp, Louisiana, on Sunday, August 4 at 2:30 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 4:00 p.m., also at Oak Grove Baptist Church. Following the funeral service, interment will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery in LaCamp, Louisiana.
In this time of sorrow, we remember Martha's kind spirit, which brought light into our lives. Though she may no longer walk among us physically, she will forever remain alive within our hearts. May we find solace in knowing that she now rests peacefully with God.
