MARTHA JEAN STEWART's Obituary
Martha "Jean" Newton Stewart, 89, passed awaysday, March 19, 2006 at Treemont Retirement Center in Houston, TX. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 24, 2008, at 1:30 PM in the First United Methodist Church in DeRidder with Rev. Mike McLaurin officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery in DeRidder.
Mrs. Stewart was born in Harrison County, TX but spent most of her adult life in DeRidder. She was a retired office Manager with Cleco and a member of the First United Methodist Church in DeRidder.
She is survivied by two brothers, Jim Newton, Sr. and Bill Newton; two granddaughters, Haley Ann Stewart Webster and husband Barrett and Lynley Elizabeth Stewart McCarley and husband Tee.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sheldon W. Stewart and Son Thomas S. Stewart.
