Martha Nell Stephens' Obituary
Funeral services for Martha Nell Stephens, 78, of New Llano, will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 7, 2023, in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville with Bro. Louis Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in the Craft Cemetery in Leesville.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 7, 2023, from 2:00 P.M. until time of service at the funeral home.
Martha was born on October 5, 1944 in Alexandria, Louisiana to her parents, Floyd R. Smith & Beatrice Lucille Southerland Smith. She passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, in Leesville.
She was raised in Pineville, Louisiana. She was a 1962 graduate of Pineville High School. She retired from Federal Civil Service after 25 years, then she went to work at Walmart Store 405 in Leesville and after 20 years she retired.
Martha is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Charlie G. Stephens, brother; Robert F. Smith, sisters; Lucille Smith Reid, Jennie Rosenbrahn, best friend; Anita Borge Metlin.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter; Kimberly Perkins (Andre Miller) of Leesville, brother in law; Frank Stephens and wife Barbara of Leesville, step son; Charlie G. Stephens Jr, (Chuck) and wife Carla of Rockwall, TX, step daughter; Theresia Brown of Dallas, TX and her children, Micheal Nation and Sara Brown, grandchildren; Savannah Perkins and Gavin Perkins and a host of nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to Dr. Landrum, Dr. Aymond and to the entire ICU Staff at Byrd Regional Hospital for all the love and support during this time.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Hank Stephens Jr. Ginger Stephens, Donald Clair, Ashton Harris, Alan Rosenkranz, Andre Miller, honorary pallbearers are Frank Stephens, Nathaniel Robertson, Peter Rosenkranz, Skyler Merriman, and Austin Bailey.
