Marion Lee Edge, Jr.'s Obituary
Graveside services for Marion Lee Edge, Jr., 70, of Anacoco, Louisiana will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, December 23, 2013, at the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Leesville with Rev. Wayne Chance officiating. Services are under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held Sunday, December 22nd from 5 pm - 7 pm, and on Monday, December 23rd from 8 am until 1 pm in the chapel.
Marion, the son of Marion Lee Edge, Sr., and Myrt Will Mickle Edge was born April 10, 1943, in Lafayette, Alabama. He passed away Thursday, December 19, 2013, peacefully at his residence in Anacoco.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Richard Edge and Jack Edge.
Mr. Edge retired from the United States Army. He enjoyed working on cars and colleting coins. He loved spending time with his family and playing with his grandson.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Edge of Anacoco; son, Marion “Spanky” Edge & Reagan Miller of Alabama; daughter, Joyce & husband, Jason Whitfield of Baton Rouge; step-daughter Mary Beth Breedlove of Anacoco; brother, Don & wife Doris Edge of Clanton, AL; sister, Joy McDaniel & Bob Ward of Pensacola, FL; grandsons, Jameson Wade Whitfield and Emeric Lee Edge; best friend, Chong Gilbert and numerous nieces and nephews.
