You will forever be missed sweetest lady I’ve ever known you was one of my favorites at rosepine high school

Her saying "love ya, love ya, love ya" is a cherished memory from this Earth Angel...

You are the best Mother anyone could be blessed to have. You are missed every minute as my Mom and best friend. The Hummingbirds are back. Love you
Marilyn was my Cousin on my mother's side of the Hawkes Family. We grew up together in the Rosepine area. She, along with her brother (JB) and sisters (Dorene and Sylvia), were so special to me and my twin sister. Even though she was a little younger than me, I can remember her well for her friendliness and positive attitude and love of family. My condolences to all her wonderful family. James Austin Hunt
Mrs. Tate was the best at her job at Rosepine High School. Every student loved her. The sweetest person I ever knew. My three children loved her dearly. They still talk about Mrs.Tate, they all three have been graduation 15 to 20 years ago. She made such an impact on all the children, she sure did my three. Thank you for sharing your mom with our children at Rosepine school. Lisa Frear Holman,Chris Frear,Sarah Frear Thompson,Jamie Frear.
Many prayers for the family of Mrs Tate! She was always so helpful at Rosepine for my exchange students and my granddaughter. I loved visiting her! She would visit at the tomato stand where I worked during the summer. She brought me some delicious zucchini bread several times. Sadie , her sweet big dog came with her to visit. She will be missed ! She was such a kind loving person.
Dear Michael Tate and Craig Tate, my deepest condolences for the loss of your mom! Marilyn surely wins the highest prize as the nicest kindest person anyone could meet. Every single time she visited our Tate family in Opelousas she has so happy and kind to everyone who met her. Much love to you both. Aunt Joy(ce) Tate
Mrs. Tate was such a sweet lady I would see her at the post office and she would talk up to 15 min or more. I'm going to especially miss her doing the summer when I would be out walking in the school area and she would ride alongside me and talk, even if someone behind her blew their horn she didn't stop until she was finished her conversation. Rest in peace
Mike aka mikkie. I’m sorry for your loss of a very precious soul. She was loved by so many. So many of the students that she took care of when they were in school. My boys are included. But the saving grace of all of it is that you know that her and Mr. Jeff are rejoicing to be with each other again. He was a special person too.
