Margurite Rutherford's Obituary
Funeral services for Margurite Rutherford, of Hornbeck, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at the Grace Assembly of Hornbeck with Bro. Wayne Chance, Bro. Jerry Twyman officiating. Burial will follow in the Prewitt’s Chapel Cemetery in Hornbeck.
Visitation will be Friday, October 23, 2020 from 4:00 P.M until time of service at the church.
Sarah “Margurite” Rutherford (Granny) 90, passed away on October 22, 2020 with her family by her side at her home in Hornbeck, LA.
Margurite was born on June 27, 1930 in Vernon Parish to Haywood & Jennie V. Knippers.
She enjoyed fishing, being in the yard, going to the deer camp with her beloved late husband, cooking , spending time with loved ones, and talking on the phone. She cherished her Sunday dinners with her family. She was passionate about her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She lived a full life of love, friendship and family. Her family and furbaby Lex, was what was so important to her.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter and son Pete & Mary Roberts of Hornbeck, LA., grandchildren of Hornbeck, LA., Missy (Craig) Martelle, Mindy Parker, Brad Roberts, Jaclyn (Clinton) Brooks, great grandchildren of Hornbeck, LA., Megan (Dusty) Beard, Miranda (RJ) Prince, Madisyn Parker (Trace), Kazden Jones, Taylor Roberts, Austin Roberts, Marlee Roberts, Karlee Roberts, McKinseigh Roberts, Mikalyn (KK) Smith, Adalynn Roberts, great-great grandchildren of Hornbeck, LA., Lowden & Moxee Prince, brother, Bobby (Ramona) Knippers, sisters in law Linda Matthews, Martha Knippers, brother in law, Rodney Rutherford (Melissa), special friends, Pete & Linda Parker, Ronnie & Vicki Martin.
She is preceded in death by her precious husband, Dewey Rutherford, whom she was married to for 62 years before his passing, brothers, Charles Knippers, Harold Knippers, Wayne Knippers.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Craig Martelle, Dusty Beard, RJ Prince, Trace Nicholas, Austin Roberts, Brad Roberts.
Honorary pallbearers are Scott Parker, Alton Gentry, Lawrence Trotti, Lowden Prince.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Rita Hollis, Kawri & Rachel and Heather Rose.
