Mrs. Magdalene Wilder was born June 23, 1939 in Darmstaudt Germany to her mother Magdalene Schwinn Gunkel and father Christoph Gunkel. While in Germany as a young woman she managed a flower shop. She met her first husband John Vanover while in Germany and married him in Nov. 1959. She also birthed two sons while in Germany, John Vanover and Christoph Vanover. She then came to the states leaving her German family behind in the year 1962, then birthed yet another son Raymond “Barry” Vanover in the year 1964, not long after coming to the states her first husband divorced her and later met and fell in love with a painter down the street his name was George Wilder while married to him she had her last four children Sandy Wilder, Teresa Wilder, George Wilder, and Gerald Wilder.
While her children were very young her late husband lost his life to cancer. She raised all of her children by herself with no help of another man. She worked very hard keeping the house clean and food on the table with very little money. She always loved working in her flower beds and would enjoy sitting on the porch drinking coffee looking at her flowers and watching the birds, she never asked much out of life. All she ever wanted was to be with and see her children. She was loved by so many and so many called her mom. She raised 7 children all on her own and many grandchildren. If you ever needed someone to talk to and for someone to listen without being judged mom was the woman to come to. She made a very everlasting impression on anyone that had the pleasure to know her.
She is preceded in death by her Children; Christoph Vanover, Barry Vanover and Sandy Wilder; Two Grandchildren: Dylan Wilder and Alana Wilder.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Teresa Wilder and Husband Robert Livengood, Gerald Wilder and wife Teresa, George Wilder and wife Amanda, John Vanover and wife Teresa; Grandkids: Landen Wilder, Lizzy Livengood, Karley Wilder, Aaron Wilder, Nolan Wilder and many other grandchildren.
