Magalene Hickman Russell was born on October 27, 1948 in Florien, Louisiana to her parents Eddis and Eula Maxie Hickman. She passed away on May 25, 2026 in Alexandria, Louisiana.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Eddis and Eula Hickman; husband, Merman George Russell, Jr.; son, Patrick Hickman, Sr., and her siblings, Shirley Ann Hickman, Sue Hickman, Eddie Hickman, Sr., Gracie Hickman Shaw, Acey Hickman, Nelda Ann Hickman Fuller, Leonard Hickman, Sr., Emmett Hickman, Betty Hickman, Cleveland Hickman and Pauline Hickman.
She is survived by her daughters, Tisha Russell Bolwaire and Vianca Holloway; granddaughters, Asante Bolwaire, McKenna Mallard and Destiny Green; grandsons, Bryant Cheley, Patrick Hickman, Jr., Terrence James Holloway and Isaiah Holloway; great grandchildren, Jozlynn Cheley, Bryan Cheley and Marisa Cheley; siblings, Linda Hickman Lucious, Gloria Hickman Robinson, Billy Hickman, Teresa Hickman, Clara Hickman and Paul Hickman and daughter-in-law, Maria Rodriquez Hickman.
A memorial service celebrating the life of Magalene will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Harvest Temple Christian Center, 6629 US HWY 171 in Anacoco, Louisiana.
