Mae D. Davis passed away peacefully from this life the morning of January 30, 2023. During her last days she continued her role as a loving dictated mother of her son and striving toward spiritual eternity. She enjoyed life through making people smile with her warm personality. She never met a stranger, she showed a welcoming compassion for all, wholeheartedly. She served God. During her final days the nursing staff would ensure her bible was placed on her chest so she could read her bible. She loved gospel music and sang praise to honor God until she no longer could in the final days.
Mother Davis attended Lakewood Church of Houston, Texas serving in the Ministry of Ushering. Her obligations extended to Church Mother, with New Life Church in Houston Texas for eight years, then with St Agnes Bible Tabernacle for about two years before returning to New Light.
