Lynwood Bolton "Woody" James' Obituary
Funeral services for Lynwood Bolton “Woody” James 85, of Ragley will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2017 in the First United Pentecostal Church in Ragley with Rev. Sean Chisholm officiating. Burial will follow in the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Leesville.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 26, 2017 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. at the church.
Mr. James was born on October 26, 1931 in Port Arthur, Texas and entered into rest on Friday, June 23, 2017 at the Southwest LA War Veterans Home. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He graduated from the Apostolic Bible Institute in St. Paul, Minnesota. He retired from the Texaco Refinery after over thirty years of service and was a faithful member of the First United Pentecostal Church of Ragley.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Ernest D. James and Ola Mae Carpenter James; His Brother: Glen James
He is survived by his wife of 62 years and 26 days: Mary Ann Jacobson James of Ragley; Three Sons: Damon James and wife Rhonda of Prescott, Arizona; Darwin James and wife Dana of Bridge City, Texas; and David James and wife Melissa of Ragley; One Daughter: Deborah Stepehnson and husband Rev. Marshall Stephenson of Deweyville, Texas; Eleven Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.
