Graveside services for Louise Coate Dickson, 87, of Metairie, LA will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 2009 at the Arlington Methodist Cemetery in Arlington, Alabama, with Evan Dickson officiating. Services are under the direction of the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville, Louisiana.
Mrs. Dickson passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at the Woodlands Health Care Center in Leesville, LA. She was a life member of the Elysian Fields United Methodist Church of New Orleans, Louisiana and a devoted mother, grandmother and friend.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years Edwin M. Dickson, Sr.; parents Livingston M. and Sally G. Coate and eight siblings.
She is survived by her son Ed (wife, Terry) Dickson, Jr. of Metairie, Louisiana; daughters Sally (husband, Bill) Tilley of Anacoco, Louisiana and Ann (husband, Steve) Spohrer of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; brother John E. Coate of Opine, Alabama; sisters Agnes C. Adkins and Dorothy Hortenstine both of St. Augustine, Florida; six grandchildren Ned Tilley, Ben Tilley, Jennifer Spohrer, Jill (husband, Ryan) Green, Evan (wife, Liza) Dickson, and Logan Dickson, and two great grandchildren Noah Foster Dickson, and Emma Louise Green
