Lore worked with the 406th Operating Engineers as a crane operator building various schools, hospitals, plants, and other facilities throughout Lake Charles. He was also an active volunteer with the Lake Charles Sherrif’s office throughout his life in the area. Lore retired from work and opened Adams Gun Shop in Moss Bluff, LA. In 1989, he and Shirley moved to Bundick’s Lake and built their final family home where Lore enjoyed his days by working in his gun shop, fishing on the lake, hunting, and woodworking. He is known and loved by many as the infamous “Red” Adams.
