Lois Perkins' Obituary
Funeral services for Lois Perkins, 94, of Leesville, Louisiana will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 28, 2010 at Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville with the Rev. Gil Arthur, Rev. Jared Prewitt & Lt. Col. Kevin McAllister officiating. Burial will follow in the Beech Grove Cemetery in Anacoco, LA under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 5 pm - 9 pm, Friday, August 27, 2010 and Saturday, August 28, 2010 from 9:00 am until time of service in the funeral home.
Lois, the daughter of Edmond V. & Amanda Cluney James was born on September 4, 1915, in Leesville, Louisiana. She passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2010, at The Woodland Health Care Center in Leesville, Louisiana.
Lois married J. Homer Perkins on February 10, 1933. She formerly worked at Evans High School, The Fashion and First Baptist Child Care. She was a former member of First Baptist Church of Leesville and currently a member of East Leesville Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by husband, J. Homer Perkins; parents, sister, Ruthie James and brothers, Dan & Glen James.
She is survived by her son, Dwain (wife, Sandra Toole) Perkins of Leesville; daughter,
DeLain Perkins (husband, Malcolm) Prewitt of Leesville; two grandsons, Chad Perkins of Leesville; Jared (wife, Leigh Anne Fulco) Prewitt of Leesville; one granddaughter, Becca Perkins (husband, Kevin) McAllister of Leesville; one great grandson, Steven Prewitt of Leesville; seven great granddaughters, Shanna Perkins of Lafayette, Amber McAllister (husband, Cody) Green of Oakdale, Lorianna Perkins of Leesville, Kenzi McAllister of Leesville, Kassi McAllister of Leesville, Brenna Prewitt of Leesville, and Kylie Dee McAllister of Leesville.
