Linda C. Simmons Heaton, 59, entered peacefully into rest on Saturday, November 28, 2020, at her home in DeRidder, Louisiana. Linda was born on February 11, 1961 in Baltimore, Maryland.
Visitation will begin Tuesday, December 1, 2020, from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at Temple Baptist Church, 122 Martin Luther King Drive, in DeRidder, LA. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 2, 2020, Visitation will start at 1:00 PM and Service will begin at 2:00 PM, at Temple Baptist Church in DeRidder, LA with Rev. Charles Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Lewis Cemetery, DeRidder, LA.
Linda was an amazing woman/mother/wife/grandmother that truly touched the lives of everyone she met. She loved music and to travel almost as much as Elvis. She cared deeply for everyone around her. She will be greatly missed by everyone.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jerry Heaton of DeRidder, LA; children Tammy Richard (Sean) of Anacoco, LA, Brian Hill (Chelsea) of Denham Springs, LA; bonus children Alicia Ashby (Christopher) of DeRidder, LA, Rebecca Andrus (Jonathan) of Kenner, LA, William Lee Heaton of DeRidder, LA; sisters Diane Bogusz of Kitty Hawk, NC, Deborah Eudy of Kitty Hawk, NC; three grandchildren and other grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her father, Caroll Simmons; and mother.
