Funeral services for Linda G. Johnson, 51, of Leesville will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 7, 2009 at Johnson Temple Church Of God In Christ in Leesville, Louisiana with Rev. Maurice Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Leesville Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at the church.
Services are under the direction of the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville, Louisiana.
Sister Linda heard the Lord calling her name on March 2, 2009 at Rapides Memorial Hospital in Alexandria LA. She leaves behind to carry on the will of God and cherish her love and sprit, one daughter Sophelia Yvette Johnson, of Columbus, Georgia; three sons James Jackson Brown Jr., of Columbus, George that now resided here in Leesville, LA., Jeffrey O’Neal Brown of Pembrooke, North Carolina and Justin Perez Brown of Leesville, LA; a special friend Charles Johnson and an ex-husband James Brown; seven beautiful grandchildren, Tyashaun, Shawnece, Jaquan, James III, Jordan, Jackson, and Ava Grace; four sisters, Addie (Edward) Watson of San Antonio, TX, Brenda (Matt) Williams of Leesville, LA, Shirley Dudley who precedes her in death and Mary Ann (William) McGee of Cordova, TN; six brothers, Leonard (Mary) Johnson, Rickey Johnson and Gregory (Caroline) Johnson, Fredrick Johnson, of Leesville, LA, Michael Johnson who precedes her in death and Lester Johnson of San Antonio, TX; brother-in-law William Dudley, sister-in-laws Theresa Bailey, and Maybelle Richardson and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
