Linda Kay Logan Berkley's Obituary
Linda passed away peacefully on March 20, 2026, at the age of 75. A woman of gentle strength and immense kindness, she spent her life nurturing the people and the passions that brought her joy.
She was the beloved wife of her late husband Dennis, and throughout her life, she remained a devoted mother, a loyal sister, and a steadfast friend. To her daughter, Jerri, she was more than a mother; she was a daily confidante. Their daily conversations were the heartbeat of their relationship—a testament to a bond built on deep friendship and unwavering love.
To know her was to know someone who found beauty in the quiet moments. She was rarely seen without a book in her hand or a glass of tea nearby. An avid reader, she traveled a thousand worlds from her favorite armchair, often with a piece of chocolate tucked away for a sweet treat. Her hands were rarely still; she was a gifted crocheter who wove love and warmth into every stitch, leaving behind beautiful treasures that her family will cherish forever.
Her legacy is one of compassion, patience, and the simple, enduring comforts of home.
She is survived by her daughter, Jerri Bunting; her brother, Mike Logan; her sister, Helen Cleveland; and a community of friends and family who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Dennis Berkley, and son, Billy Parkins.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on March 23, 2026, at Labby Funeral Home in Deridder, LA. Viewing is at 10:00 am, and the funeral is at 12:00 pm.
In her memory, the family suggests curling up with a good book and a glass of tea, or perhaps sharing a piece of chocolate with someone you love.
